Maya is a Siren playable character in Borderlands 2, a Phaselock-wielding vault hunter who can suspend enemies in mid-air and serves as a mentor in later games.

The siren lifts a glowing orb wreathed in spinning rings of light above her head, her hood fallen back from streaming hair. Her skintight suit is crossed with harness straps and a buckled belt, coat tails snapping behind her boots as she steps forward. Below her, a fanged worm-thing bursts from the rocks, maw yawning. The base is a scatter of jagged rock chunks around the beast.
